Family Theme Night Blog
Fun-filled family night activities based around themes kids love!
Winnie the Pooh and Honey, Too!
During the month of January, we will be featuring some family fun nights with a Disney* theme! Our family happens to be counting down the days until we head to Disney World, but you don't need to be heading off for a Disney vacation to enjoy some of these fun family night ideas.
I happen to love Winnie the Pooh and all of the Pooh characters. So, when I recently booked a Disney trip, I made sure to make reservations at the Crystal Palace (the Disney restaurant featuring Pooh characters). To help my kids share my enthusiasm for Pooh, we had a Winnie the Pooh family fun night!
Pooh loves honey, so we started our fun night with some honey tasting!
I baked up a loaf of bread, and we tasted a couple of different types of honey to find out which kind we liked the best.
With the mention of "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day," my boys decided it would be great fun to pretend that they were in a wind storm. As they flew across the family room, I decided that they are ready for the Pooh ride at Disney!
Some other windy fun ides: make pinwheels and experiment with them, get out bubble solution on a windy day and let the wind carry away the bubbles, or get out and an electric fan & paper and experiment with wind power.
Winnie the Pooh Video/Bedtime Story:
To make a Winnie the Pooh family fun night complete, a showing of one of the beloved Winnie the Pooh movies, and/or a Pooh bedtime story is a must!
