10 easy Father's Day gift ideas for the craft-challenged mom
Not everyone has the gift of being "crafty." I was reminded of this fact last night during a conversation with a mommy friend. Some moms, like my friend, find the plethora of amazing craft ideas available online to be rather intimidating.
With my craft-challenged friend in mind, and Father's Day fast approaching, I racked my brain and came up with some simple ideas that require little more than a permanent marker. (Of course, those with the crafty gene can start with these ideas and get out their glue guns, glitter, gel paints and go all out! Don't forget to comment about your embellishments!) Here are ten easy Father's Day gift ideas for the dad in your life.
1. The baseball slugger dad: Does dad love anything baseball? Does his perfect Father's Day involve playing catch in the backyard? Surprise him with a baseball, cap or mitt autographed by your kid or kids. Little ones can scribble, and mom can write the year. (Remember, baseball player signatures are often illegible too!)
2. The golf-pro dad: Get a package of golf balls (or dig out the ones from the garage). Let kids draw a funny face on each ball. Consider picking up a plastic sand bucket from your local dollar store, and present dad with a very special bucket of golf balls!
