I thought I had it all together. I planned the menu and actually made it to the grocery store. We had the perfect family night planned out. But then the plan was foiled—one of the lights we were going to use for our miner family theme night is missing! It could be under the bed, in a toy box, or in with the dirty laundry. (I know it’s not in the couch because we just took it apart and found 25+ items, none of which was a light—but that’s another story.) Anyway, I’m really not sure where it is. And I don’t want to waste any more time searching for it. However, the whole point of re-visiting the miner theme was so we could use the super cool flashlights my boys received for Christmas (they actually have a band so that you can wear them on your forehead!).
What am I going to do now?
It is super cold and I really don’t want to venture out (especially since I would have to drag two boys with me). How can I avoid another trip to the library and grocery store? Wait, I have an idea! I can do one of the faith and fun themes from Let the Adventure Begin! My Stephen has a favorite stuffed lion (actually a whole pride)—he’d love to do “Daniel and the Lions’ Den!” I’ll write how it turns out in my next blog . . .
